Well hello friends! I can’t believe how long it has been since I posted here! My last post was at the end of March! How does time go by so fast?
It’s been a beautiful spring here at The Farm. I finally got my garden planted and I am looking forward to some fresh vegetables this summer as long as I can keep the pests at bay! (Squash bugs are from the devil.) The she-shed is cleaned up and ready for some reading, writing and relaxing. As the weather turns hotter, the stock tank pool is calling my name! Oh, how I love the slower pace of the summer!
Since I last posted, we have been busy with some important farm improvement projects around here! We now have a new well and our drinkers are installed! These automatic waterers are awesome! Needless to say, we are celebrating and I think the cattle and donkeys are doing happy dances in the fields! Slowly, one project at a time, we are making a difference around here!
We no longer have to fill our old water tubs every day, which is such a time saver! While the animals now have a continual supply of fresh water, I can’t help but be reminded of the words Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well.
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
John 4: 13-14
What a blessing to know that when we follow Christ, our spiritual thirst is quenched. We have all we need to not only sustain us, but to thrive. So now, each time I see the cows drawn to the waterers, drinking in the fresh well water from deep within the earth, I smile, thinking of Christ himself and the living water he provides us.
On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”
John 7:37-39
So, go on. Take a long drink at his well! Drink in the living water of Christ. You will never regret it!
Have a great rest of your day and remember to #BeLight!
