“Rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”
Colossians 2:7
Hello from The Farm and our little corner of North Carolina! As the 48th week of 2023 is upon us, it is hard to believe that the days have flown by so quickly! Yet here we are, with Thanksgiving in the rearview mirror and the magic of the Christmas season ahead of us.

I finally sat down today to type this post, with a cozy fire in the fireplace and our beloved #BuffaloBills on the television. Simple things warm my heart, even if the Bills lost the game to the Eagles!
Over the last few days, Carl and I enjoyed some much needed time off of work. It was great to be able to focus on time with loved ones and the farm, and to have a break from all the demands of our full-time jobs.
As you read this, I am curious. What are YOU thankful for? In the spirit of Thanksgiving, here is my list, reflecting on the last few month, David Letterman-style:
From little things like time to work in the garden or cutting a Christmas tree here at the farm, to the weightier thoughts of faith in Christ, I found it helpful to pause and reflect on what matters the most to me and to prepare my heart for the Christmas season.
As November winds down and the season of Advent begins, we wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas season filled with what matters the most…the gift of Christ and time with loved ones who you hold dear.
#FaithFamilyFarm or (Home) is my hope for you and your loved ones this Christmas. My prayer is that your faith is rooted in Christ, that you cherish time with family and that farm (or home) is indeed a priority over the things this world. The pictures below are highlights from the fall month at the farm with our family.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
~Laura
